WCC - Open Mic Discussion Night and Workshop

With a Strong Focus on story telling as a collaborative tool to learn and understand peoples perspectives I created and hosted an Open mic Discussion Night. Working-class Creatives - Accessibility to Creative Industries. This also served as the main kick off for the project

Around 40 people attended the event. The night consisted of 4 speakers, detailing stories from their experience around creative industries. With discussion around Scottish culture and the role design must play in aiding in barriers, feelings of acceptance and struggle from all classes, money time and opportunities presented, and the metal effect and restrictions that come from being working class and being around peers.

There was also a workshop using custom coasters on the night allowing people to share their experiences without going up on 'stage'
